What’s a PBC — and Why Does It Matter?

We get it. “Public Benefit Corporation” sounds like one of those things you nod along to in a meeting, but quietly Google later. We’ll save you the search.

Becoming a PBC means that Dropps is no longer just focused on the bottom line — we’re now legally committed to considering the impact of our decisions on people, communities, and the planet.

Our mission — to make powerful products that are made clean, made to clean, and never compromise on the things that matter — is now baked into our corporate charter. Not just in spirit. In writing.

From the Start, It's Always Been About More Than Pods

Since day one, we’ve done things a little differently. (Okay, a lot differently.) We said no to plastic jugs. No to harsh chemicals like phosphates, chlorine, parabens, and phthalates. No to cutting corners in the name of convenience. 

And instead, we said yes to clean chemistry, recyclable paperboard packaging, and cleaning routines that actually care for the world around us. We’ve been a Certified B Corporation® since 2017, holding ourselves to the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. This new chapter? It’s just making things official.

Becoming a PBC is a reflection of who we already are — and a promise for who we’ll continue to be.

Why Now?

Because the planet can’t wait.

Because sustainability should be more than a tagline.

Because Earth deserves brands that walk the talk — not greenwash their way through Earth Day posts.

This decision isn’t about optics. It’s about accountability. It’s about making sure every business move we make — from formulation to fulfillment — is aligned with the future we want to help build.
