Safety Tips

At Dropps we know the safety of you and your loved ones comes first when choosing the products you bring into your home. It’s a core value we put into action when designing our packaging, formulating products, and guiding you on how to safely and effectively store and use them. The information on this page is intended to help guide you through the proper ways to handle, store, and use Dropps products - please review thoroughly.

SAFE STORAGE:

  • Always keep cleaning products locked away when not in use.
  • Keep products out of reach of children and in their original packaging with safety and usage labels intact.
  • Do not cover or remove safety instructions or product warning labels on packaging.
  • Products should not be left in areas accessible by pets of any kind.
  • After use immediately reseal packaging and place back in an out of reach location.
  • Childproof cabinets and locations where cleaning products and detergents are stored. You can consult the Safe Kids Worldwide website for more information on childproofing your home.
  • Caregivers of those with mental and/or cognitive disabilities such as Alzheimers and dementia should take extra care to securely lock cleaning products in their designated storage location. You can refer to the Alzheimer’s home safety checklist here.
  • For those transporting pods to laundromats or shared laundry rooms, keep pods in a sealed container or bag, and bring only what is needed day-of to ensure pods remain in a closed, difficult-to-open container that is stored out of reach to children.

SAFE USAGE:

  • Read all warnings and usage instructions printed on product boxes for any Dropps products being used prior to use.
  • Always handle pods with dry hands to prevent premature breakdown of outer film.
  • Should product get on hands or skin, immediately wash the exposed area.
  • Spills or breakage of any Dropps products should be cleaned thoroughly and immediately.
  • Dropps products should not be handled by children at any time. Taking care of tasks and chores involving Dropps cleaning products when children are not present can help prevent unintended exposure, handling, or misuse of products.
  • Should undissolved product be found on fabrics, soak and rewash in warm water - do not wear garments with undissolved product remnants adhered to them.

SAFE DISPOSAL:

  • To prevent waste, we always recommend donating unused/intact product to a local shelter or charity instead of disposing.
  • When donations are not possible, disposal should be in accordance with applicable regional, national and local laws and regulations. Ensure disposed of product is not accessible to children or pets.
  • Empty product boxes can be broken down and placed in recycling bins. If product residue or remnants are left on boxes, take extra care to keep recycling out of reach of children and pets until the time of disposal.

EXPOSURE INCIDENTS:

  • Unintended exposure of undiluted product to skin will typically cause no serious medical effect, but should be rinsed from skin immediately upon contact.
  • If product is exposed to eyes, immediately rinse eyes under water for at least 15 minutes and seek immediate medical advice as needed.
  • If a product is swallowed or ingested, drink a glass of water or milk and contact the Poison Control Center (1-800-222-1222) immediately. Having the ingredients list of the product ingested handy will help in receiving guidance. Do not induce vomiting.
  • If a pet has ingested a pod, please refer to the ingredients list found on each product page, contact the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888-426-4435), and seek veterinary care as needed.
