What does Dropps mean by "clean ingredients"?
We hold our formulas to a higher ingredient standard — independently verified by third-party certifiers, not self-declared. That means every ingredient is evaluated for human and environmental safety before it makes it into a pod. Our laundry detergent formulas is free from optical brighteners, phosphates, artificial dyes, chlorine bleach, parabens, and phthalates — and certified by Cradle to Cradle Material Health, National Psoriasis Foundation, and USDA Certified Biobased.
Is the pod wrapper plastic?
The outer film is PVOH (polyvinyl alcohol) — a readily biodegradable water-soluble material that dissolves completely during the wash cycle and is not the same as conventional plastic. Read our full PVOH explainer →
What are Dropps packaged in?
Dropps's packaging is made with curbside recyclable paperboard. We selected paper for its environmental benefits, as paper boasts the highest recycling rate in the U.S. at 68%—significantly higher than the 9% rate for plastics! Our new packaging design is 18% lighter than our previous cardboard. Additionally, the new design features bold text and vibrant colors to better differentiate our products.
